This site is dedicated to the memory of Shane White.

Shane Edward White 21.02.1974 - 31.03.2012 Gone Fishing Shane was just 38 years old when we lost him after a short battle of Meningococcal Meningitis. He died on the 31st March 2012. Shane was a cherished Son, Brother, Nephew and a special Uncle. Shane was due to be married on the 14.04.2012, but sadly he passed away just 14 days before walking up the aisle. Shane grew up in a small Cornish town and would spend many days cycling alongside his Mum, Gran and Sister enjoying his favourite stretches along the river. From a very young age Shane had a passion for outdoor life, including wild animals, flowers and anything to do with nature. Shanes favourite hobbies were Cricket, Kayaking and Shooting. Shanes one true passion in life was fresh water fishing, he started at the age of 5 with his Dad and continued the rest of his life, teaching his nephews along the way. He was never happier than being by the river and would walk from dawn to dusk, enjoying the untouched beauty of Respryn River. As a boy Shane's first job was delivering papers around his town, he then went off to help a family friend on the fairground working his way round the country enjoying the adventures. Upon leaving school with 10 GCSE's under his belt he started working with a local roofing company making roof trusses before moving on to his job packing at a well known national food company working his way up to become a much loved and respected manager by his colleagues, he was dedicated to his job and would work round the clock to make sure all targets were met. Shane was a fit, healthy young man up until 2-3 days before only showing signs of diarrhoea and a sore throat, only when his condition deteriorated was he admitted to hospital where against all efforts by the doctors he went into cardiac arrest and sadly passed away. So please help us to raise money for Menigitis and to try and prevent other families from suffering like we are. Thank You to Steve Dayman for his kind support he has shown us as a family.
